FCC is intentional about engaging personal transformation and the church’s collective transformation. We truly see ourselves as a work in progress, a people taking a journey to where God is leading, as best as we can ascertain. We have chosen the image of the church in Acts 2 as our guiding vision – a church that brought people into a vital relationship with Jesus, a church that broke through economic and ethnic barriers, and a church that worshiped authentically together and nurtured spiritual growth through connected relationships. We invite you to join us in that journey.

Parking can be accessed on both sides of our building (Rice or Sunset).
>>What to Expect
You will experience a blended service filled with traditional hymns, contemporary praise, reflective prayer, and a Christ centered message. Pastor Dunn strives to present Christ as the help and hope for everyday life in Houston. A biblical theme is developed each Sunday and communion is observed. We want you to relax, enjoy, and feel at home in the midst of a joyful, sincere and diverse congregation.
Sunday is a fun time for children at First Christian Church! Toddlers through fifth graders stay in worship until after the Children's Moment, then they go to the Toddler room, pre-school room, or Faith Factory. Faith Factory, is an exciting worship experience for kids in 1st through 5th grade with music, crafts, Bible stories, videos, and more. For children younger than 1st grade, a nursery is provided with loving care-givers.
Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9:30AM. After the morning worship service is concluded, all are invited to our fellowship hall for refreshments and fellowship. We believe you will find the members of FCC to be warm, friendly, and welcoming.

Above all, that Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God, who offers saving grace to all who seek it through His Son.
Open Communion: The Lord's Supper, or Communion, is celebrated in weekly worship and it is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
The Oneness of the Church: All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.
Freedom of Belief: As Disciples, we are called together around two essentials of faith; a belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and that Christians are free to follow their conscience guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study, prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
Baptism by Immersion: In baptism, the old self-centered life is set aside, washed away, and a new life of trust in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other baptism traditions are honored.
The Ministry of Believers: Both ordained ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service, and spiritual growth.
There are no creeds, beliefs, or statements followed in the DOC not found in the bible, and most especially the New Testament.
